StudyDeferalProneAtosis
Wednesday, August 30th, 2006StudyDeferalProneAtosis. Pronounced as Study-Deferal-Prone-A-to-sis.
It’s sometimes so odd that when we intend to study, there are bound to have things that distract them, thus avoiding studying at a specified time. it can be anything. the common ones are computer (theres nothing to do ther but you just sit infront of it and start doing something), bed (it seems to be able to call you towards it and say, "Come…rest. Come…rest"), TV (even hindi movies or news seem more interesting than usual) and tonnes of others.
Those are symptoms of StudyDeferalProneAtosis. It’s an illness that only show it’s effects when exams are approaching and you know that you need to study. Just when you think that going away from these things will help, other things will happen. Imagine this. Now that you are in your uni/library/wherever and way from your distractions, you sit down infront of your notes/books, den suddenly…your stomuch growls…hungry la…go eat…come back, your phone calls to you and says, "ay, sms somebody la..". Being a good owner of the phone, you do it. Then you bet back to studying, your friend replies your sms saying "Don kacau me la…i studying la..ding dong! go die!"
By the time you got fed up and decides to study, you look at the clock/watch and find that study time is over. Now you have to do something else more important. Making sure that your metaboism slows down, ur digestive system have a chance to digest food in your stomuch, your eyes recuperate from the strain of the day…a.k.a. sleep.
Waking up from slumber, you look at the clock and says "wah! jia lak liao! 10pm ady..!". So you decide to ask your friend or email your lecturer to speed up learning. ‘Message Sent’. Then, the person replies…the answers seem like it’s a language from outerspace. You just dont get it and went… hah?
So, what can we do to prevent or even cure the disese? Hire a Baby Sitter, a Sou tei Ah Sam (janitor) or Lai Ma (er…duno how 2 translate ..Milk Mother?) to jaga you while you study la…
p.s. I’m not a StudyDeferalProneAtosis patient
