I was studying for one of my mid-terms the day after, when suddenly i heard my dog <might’s pic> barking hysterically and "klank klank klunk klunk". Feeling disturbed, i stepped out from my room to the living room to find out whats goin on. The next thing i knew, i saw a huge…Dscf2978 SNAKE!!!

My dog was barking at it while my dad was trying to get rid of it using whatever long stick he can grab. It was hissing all over the the living room floor as my dad tried to hit it’s head. Looking at the size of it, i had 2 admit that i was stoned for a few seconds but after i snapped out of it, i quickly got my dog in my parents room and asked my mom who was in the room, not to come out and headed to the kitchen to get some sulphur to trap the snake at one corner and kill it if possible.

By the time i got the sulphur, my dad has already managed to force the snake to a corner of the living room and i layed the sulphur to avoid it from going to the other areas of the house. Dscf2977

Dscf2981 Though the snake was cornered, there were large objects around for it to hide and thus, making it difficult for the stick (actually, i was a golf club) to reach. So, we used boiled water instead (no choice la…not like i wanna eat it 4 supper or what). But the boiled water wasnt enough but i forced the snake to come out head 1st and ….BANG! My dad cought it with his golf club on the head. It was bleeding Dscf2986  and wasn’t moving anymore…It took us bout 20 - 30 mins to kill it and the cleaning up took another 30 mins (coz of all the sulphur, water and blood all over the living room). It was like a battle field and yes, it’s scary…coz after 20 years staying in this house, after all the previous snake encounters (including a face-to-face encounter with a cobra when i was younger), this is the biggest snake that ever got in…the toughest too! It was a phyton and this species, though not poisonous, is known chasing after a rat for supper…eww…Dscf2984_1
